The tech firms grabbing advisers’ attention over the past 12 months

2025 was an unprecedented year for advisers researching new technology, according to the AdviserSoftware.com website, which hosts reviews of advice tech.

The site has seen an 150% increase in the number of its technology reviews being visited by advisers, with the total number of studies viewed to help them make more informed technology buying decisions nearing 20,000, up from 8,000 in 2024.

The top five most read tech reviews in 2025 were about:

2. Saturn

3. AdvisoryAI

4. Iress

5. PlannerPal

The leaderboard of visitors to the AdviserSoftware.com technology reviews site reflects major changes in advice-tech landscape compared to 2024.  

Ian McKenna, Advisersoftware.com founder, said: “While many established industry leaders remain popular, several players have emerged in recent years. The table identifies an unprecedented number of new AI vendors attracting significant attention.”

AdvisoryAI, for example, has shot up the leaderboard from 154th place in 2024 to 3rd place in 2025, as interest in using artificial intelligence-powered adviser tech has soared. Likewise AI rival Saturn has jumped from 8th place to second. Other, newer AI-focused entrants like PlannerPal and Templi.ai also bounced up the ranks.

And yet established player Intelliflo refuses to ride quietly off into the sunset. It topped both the most read reviews and the longest average reading time tables, climbing six places year-on-year.

McKenna continued: “Historically we have seen advisers looking to make long term tech selections. However many now tell us they are looking for tactical partners. In the short term they are not waiting for their established system suppliers to add such services, but they recognise these will come in the future.  

“This analysis demonstrates how many advisers see AI as a crucial part of their business. The challenge to the new players will be to hang on to these customers long term,” he added.
